TJA Lyrics Tool: AI-align #LYRIC, SRT import and export

The lyrics alignment tool writes lyrics into TJA's #LYRIC commands. Simulators that support lyrics will display them in sync during play, and TaikoForge gameplay videos will also render them on screen.

0. Add lyrics while charting

The easiest way: paste the full lyrics into "Lyrics (optional)" on the dashboard and pick the language. Once the chart is done, the lyrics are aligned and written as #LYRIC automatically, at no extra cost, and the job shows "N lyric lines added". For a chart that is already done, use the "Lyrics" button on the job.

1. AI lyric alignment

1. Upload your own TJA and audio file. Supported audio formats: ogg, mp3, m4a, wav, flac, or opus.
2. Select the lyrics language (Japanese, Chinese, English, or Korean), paste the full lyrics — one phrase per line, repeats included.
3. Click "Start alignment". The AI will listen to the audio and time each line. This takes roughly 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on song length.
4. When done, download the TJA with #LYRIC written in. You can also separately download the SRT subtitle file.

The tool replaces any existing #LYRIC in the chart. All other lines (including comments and formatting) are kept as-is; only the measures where lyrics are inserted are reformatted.

Shift-JIS encoded TJA files are supported (detected automatically).

2. SRT import and export

SRT import

Already have a timed subtitle file? Upload the TJA and SRT — each cue is converted directly to #LYRIC and written into all difficulties. No audio needed, instant, and it does not count against your limit.

Multiple subtitle lines are merged into one. When timings overlap, the later cue overwrites the earlier one. Timings are quantized to the chart's note grid, so there may be small errors.

SRT export

Upload a TJA with #LYRIC to download its lyrics as an SRT subtitle file. When the chart has multiple difficulties, lyrics are taken from the highest difficulty.

3. Add lyrics from charting history

For songs created in TaikoForge, click "Lyrics" in your charting history, paste the lyrics, and align directly without uploading files again. When done, re-download the .tja — the lyrics are included.

When a chart with lyrics is rendered via Video Generator, the lyrics appear on screen.

If you upload a reference TJA for the same song, any #LYRIC in it will also be carried over.

Known limitations

• You need to provide the lyrics text yourself. The tool only handles timing — it does not transcribe lyrics from the audio.
• Lyric alignment requires login but does not use charting credits. Free plans: up to 12 runs per day; paid plans: unlimited. SRT import and export do not count toward any limit.
• #LYRIC is an extension command; whether it displays depends on the simulator.
• AI alignment accuracy varies by song. After completing, listen and watch to verify the timing of each line.
